We are a niche consultancy, deliberately, so we can understand our specialist areas in far greater depth and add value to the sectors we operate. We strive to be the best advisers, business partners and talent managers in the sector and not a mass-market provider of staff.

Our areas of specialisation cover Programme & Project Management, Transformation, Operations as well as Corporate Functions including HR and Finance across the Healthcare spectrum.

Finance

With ever closer scrutiny on finances within the NHS, it pays to get it right – we provide interims for recovery, transformation and CIPs Projects who can work collaboratively with their colleagues to make a genuine difference to the bottom line and to a Trust’s performance.  We also provide interim finance professionals in financial management, income and financial accounting roles, from middle management level up to CFO.

Project, Programme, Change and Transformation

We enjoy understanding the nuances to each project and everyone’s individual experience which is why we have been so successful in recruiting to project and programme roles. Almost all roles seem to have some form of transformation or recovery angel to them as well and working with challenged organisations or Trusts in special measures is a typical client for us.

Understanding the unique challenge to each project & programme role is key to finding the right candidate. Our vast experience recruiting into these roles, in this sector, allows us to establish the key deliverables and thus gives us the right focus when conducting our search. Together with our in-depth knowledge of the candidates in this market we have built an envious record of finding the right people for the right roles.

We work predominantly with Provider Trusts and CCG’s who are experiencing a significant period of Transformation including those in Special Measures, under legal Direction or going through some form of Alliance or Merger.

Operations management

Operations management is at the very core of our business from Service Managers to COO’s (from Band8A to VSM). It is a hugely enjoyable discipline to work within and plays to our strengths well as we can suit styles, personalities as well as necessary skill-sets.

HR

HR in Healthcare faces one of the biggest challenges yet – the effective management of scarce resources to ensure a lean, efficient and affordable workforce adhering within contractual and legal frameworks. Almost every Trust encounters workforce issues of some kind, we have built up a network of senior level interims focusing on workforce planning, recruitment, organisational development and HR Director/Deputy Director positions.

Commissioning & Contracting

Within the CCG market we provide specialist Commissioners and Contract Managers as well as those interims with a specialisation in QIPP delivery. Understanding what makes an excellent commissioner goes much further that just reading a CV so we use our experience and understanding of the NHS to identify what sets a candidate apart and what environments will help them flourish.
